Information for Breeders

Your implanter will register the litter with AniMap, ensuring each pet has a secure and accurate microchip record from the very beginning. Once the litter has been implanted and registered, all information is stored safely on the AniMap database and ready for the next stage of the journey.

As your pets leave for their forever homes, AniMap makes transferring keepership simple and stress free. Our straightforward process helps breeders quickly assign pets to their new keepers while ensuring records remain accurate and up to date, supporting pet safety and future reunification.

Logging in

How you log in depends on how your breeder account was set up.

If your implanter set up your account

Your implanter will email you a link to your AniMap breeder account. Just click the link and follow the instructions.

If you signed up as a breeder on the AniMap website

Sign in with the email address and password you chose when you created your account.

Your account gives you secure access to manage microchips, view records and keep pets safe for life.

Transferring keepership

Once you're logged in, you can view and manage all assigned microchips in one place and transfer each pet to their new keeper as they leave for their forever homes.

To follow UK legislation when transferring keepership:

Assign the new keeper

Update the microchip record on AniMap to assign the new keeper as soon as the pet is rehomed.

Keeps the database accurate and compliant with microchipping regulations.

Give them the microchip booklet

Pass on the microchip registration booklet (or paperwork supplied with the chip) to the new keeper.

Helps them register the microchip and gives them proof of registration and the microchip number for their records.

Keeper registers

The new keeper registers the microchip in their name to complete the transfer.

Ensures the pet is protected and contact details are always up to date.
